Holiday peak fulfillment fee

Amazon

Units shipped in this window pay a peak fee on top of the fulfillment fee, +$0.32 per unit on average. The 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge applies on top of it. Monthly storage for standard-size units is $2.40 per cubic foot from October to December ($1.40 oversize), compared with $0.78 ($0.56 oversize) from January to September.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 Profit Calculator applies the peak fee to the months the units sell (October and January weighted by their days in the window), adds the 3.5% surcharge on top, and charges storage at each month's rate.
  • Oct 2026 Fee Optimizer gives the exact peak fee for your carton by ship date, from Amazon's peak rate card.
  • Oct 2026 Restock Planner adds the peak fee to the units each order sells inside the window.

2027 US referral and FBA fee changes

Amazon

Amazon usually announces next year's fee changes in the second half of October. As of Oct 5, 2026 they had not been announced.

L-Guard

After the announcement we recheck Profit Calculator, Fee Optimizer and the fee tables our calculators use, and log the update here.

New Selection Program: last day to accept the terms

Amazon

Deadline to accept the New Selection Program terms.

L-Guard
  • Jul 29, 2026 Profit Calculator has a New Selection launch-pricing option, so you can see the launch margin with and without it.

$1M insurance for enhanced-safety categories

Amazon

Sellers in categories with enhanced safety requirements need $1 million in insurance coverage.

L-Guard

No tool change: none of our checks depend on this rule. It is listed so you can plan for it.

Flat-file Settlement report removed

Amazon

Amazon removes the flat-file version of the Settlement report from Seller Central.

L-Guard

No change needed: no L-Guard tool reads this report.

Legacy Amazon Ads reports retired

Amazon

Amazon retires the legacy Amazon Ads reports. Search term data comes from unified reporting in the Ads console.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 PPC Audit reads both formats: the unified Search term template and the legacy Search term report, as CSV or XLSX. It finds the columns by their names and totals every row.

Newest first. Where we don't have the exact day of our update, we show the month; “By Oct 2026” means the tool already had the change by then.

October 2026: numbers counted by code, labeled, and compared with your last run

L-Guard

Numbers that come from code are now labeled “Exact · counted by code”: the same input gives the same result, with the math shown. Text written by the AI model is labeled “AI-written · review before use”.

  • Fee OptimizerThe FBA fee is computed in your browser from Amazon's 2026 rate card, step by step: size tier, dimensional and billed weight, price column, the 3.5% surcharge and the holiday peak fee by ship date. It shows the smallest cut to a side or the weight that reaches a cheaper fee, nearby price lines, storage, low-inventory and aged-inventory fees per unit, and an FBM break-even. The model now writes only packaging and inbound ideas. Free accounts see the fee math and checks; the detailed list, what-if sliders and PDF come with the tool.
  • Profit CalculatorCan take the FBA fee from the 2026 rate card when you enter package dimensions. The peak fee follows the month the units sell, storage is split by the days at FBA in each month, and each fee line names its rule. New: price levers (break-even price, target-margin price, break-even ACoS, referral price cliffs) and a low-inventory-level fee check. The 2023-vs-2026 comparison is replaced by a Jan-Sep vs Oct-Dec season view.
  • Cash Flow CalculatorSimulates your cash balance day by day for 180 days: supplier deposit, balance and freight, stock at FBA, reorders, payouts with the DD+7 hold and payouts still due when you start. It shows the lowest point and its date.
  • Restock PlannerNo AI model any more: dates, order quantities, dollar figures and the one-line decision for each ASIN are computed in your browser, so the same report gives the same plan, and the Excel uses the same formulas. New: units on order with arrival dates, “Did you place these POs?” from your last plan, a “Since your plan of” comparison, an upload receipt, a Chinese New Year shutdown shift (an L-Guard assumption you can switch off), per-ASIN overrides, a Featured Offer (Buy Box) warning, 2026 referral and peak fees, and a stock-out cost estimate.
  • PPC AuditTotals every row of the legacy or unified Search term report in your browser; the totals are free, without an account. Zero-order spend is split into negate-ready and too-few-clicks by a stated rule, ACoS is checked against your own break-even, phrase negatives come from all rows, and converting terms are listed to move to exact. Negatives and move-to-exact lists download as CSV, plus an Excel with live formulas. The next upload shows what changed since your last audit. The model now only sorts zero-order terms by relevance and writes the plan.
  • Refund RecoveryChecks each uploaded file before the run (wrong report, Summary view, missing columns, dates, currency). Every claim gets a file-by date and a claim text built by code from your reports; AI-polished wording is optional. An audit receipt shows rows read and rows not claimed with the reason, claims are sorted by deadline with a calendar file, and each run is compared with your previous audit. Signed-in accounts get a free scan with the total, claim count and deadlines before buying.
  • Listing StudioAn exact, dated rule check appears as soon as you click Analyze. Rewritten fields are cut to Amazon's limits in code, a Before → After table compares your listing with the rewrite, new numbers and claim words are highlighted for you to confirm, and the next audit of the same ASIN shows what changed. New free page: the Listing limits checker.
  • Account ShieldThe Plan of Action generator asks questions for your issue type and writes [CONFIRM: …] where you did not give a detail. A pre-submit check in your browser lists dates, numbers and names in the letter that are not in your facts, and checks the three parts, tense and blame wording. “Amazon replied?” writes a revised letter with the changes marked. New issue types: order metrics, On-Time Delivery Rate / handling time, Business Hour Delivery Rate. The suppression check counts the title, bullets and Search Terms by code. The POA checker is free, with no login.
  • ReviewShieldA free rule check without signup marks words in a review that may break a Community Guidelines rule and suggests the Report option; Vine reviews, honest complaints and brand comparisons are marked as likely allowed. In the full check, code verifies each draft's quotes against the review, its word count and any invented policy citations, and the app asks before spending a run on a review with no rule signals.
  • Dashboard and Error Code DecoderThe dashboard keeps a 90-day Account Health history from Chrome extension syncs and lists each period a metric was past Amazon's target, with dates; one click turns a period into Plan of Action evidence. Runs are grouped by ASIN, and synced reviews and suppressed listings open the matching tool already filled in. History exists only for days the extension synced while Seller Central was open; there is no background monitoring. The Error Code Decoder reads a whole pasted error report and counts lines and SKUs per code.
  • Between toolsTools pass your numbers to each other inside your browser, never in the URL: for example Profit Calculator to Fee Optimizer, PPC Audit, Restock Planner and Cash Flow; Listing Studio to Fee Optimizer and Account Shield; Restock Planner to Cash Flow.

New metric: Business Hour Delivery Rate

Amazon

New performance metric for seller-fulfilled orders, Business Hour Delivery Rate, with a target of 90% or higher.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 Account Shield Plans of Action for this metric use the 90% target and list Amazon's recommended shipping settings as preventive measures.

Amazon Ads console renamed Amazon Ads Agent

Amazon

The Amazon Ads console is now called Amazon Ads Agent, and Full-Funnel Campaigns were added.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 PPC Audit download steps use the new console name.

Seller-fulfilled offers deactivated one at a time

Amazon

When a single seller-fulfilled offer puts account health at risk, Amazon can deactivate that offer instead of putting the whole account at risk.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 Account Shield covers offer-level deactivation in Plans of Action, including where to request reactivation in Account Health.

Titles capped at 75 characters; Item Highlights added

Amazon

Product titles in every category except media must be 75 characters or fewer, spaces included. A new Item Highlights field holds 125 characters. Titles over 75 characters are gradually replaced with Amazon's AI-recommended title; brand owners have 14 days to review the change in Review Listings Changes before it goes live.

L-Guard
  • Jul 2026 Listing Studio: live title counter (N / 75). Rewritten titles must fit 75 characters.
  • Jul 12, 2026 Listing Studio: Item Highlights field with a 125-character counter and its own rewrite.
  • By Oct 2026 Account Shield: the suppression checker flags titles over 75 characters.
  • Oct 2026 Listing Studio: if a rewritten title comes back longer than 75 characters, our server shortens it before you see it.

Import duties on goods from China changed

US duties

The 10% Section 122 tariff expired. Goods from China now pay a 12.5% Section 301 duty on top of the existing Section 301 duties (25% or 7.5%). Earlier, on Feb 20, 2026, the Supreme Court struck down the IEEPA tariffs.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 Profit Calculator: duty guidance updated to these rates. You enter the total duty rate for your HTS code.

Handling-time enforcement for seller-fulfilled SKUs

Amazon

Amazon enforces handling-time accuracy: the handling time set for each seller-fulfilled SKU has to match how fast it actually ships.

L-Guard
  • By Oct 2026 Account Shield: Plans of Action for these cases include correcting SKU-level handling times.

Rufus renamed Alexa for Shopping

Amazon

Amazon's shopping assistant Rufus became Alexa for Shopping.

L-Guard
  • May 2026 Listing Studio: the AI-search part of the audit now targets Alexa for Shopping (formerly Rufus).

3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge

Amazon

A 3.5% surcharge on FBA fulfillment fees. It also applies on top of the holiday peak fee.

L-Guard
  • Jul 29, 2026 Profit Calculator: the surcharge is its own line (base fulfillment fee × 3.5%).
  • Aug 16, 2026 Restock Planner: included in the fee assumptions behind net profit per unit.
  • Oct 2026 Fee Optimizer: added to every rate-card fee, the peak fee included.

DD+7 payouts

Amazon

Sales are paid out 7 days after delivery (DD+7).

L-Guard
  • Cash Flow Calculator models the 7-day payout delay.
  • Oct 2026 Cash Flow Calculator: rebuilt as a day-by-day cash simulation; each sale is paid out after delivery plus the 7-day hold, on your payout days.

OTDR below 90% deactivates the listings that caused it

Amazon

An On-Time Delivery Rate below 90% now deactivates the listings that pulled it down, not every listing. The 90% threshold is unchanged.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 Account Shield: Plans of Action for OTDR cases target the listings that pulled the rate down.

2026 FBA fulfillment fees and size tiers

Amazon

A new FBA fulfillment fee rate card for 2026, by size tier, shipping weight and price (under $10, $10-$50, over $50), with the 2026 product size tiers. Dimensional weight is length × width × height / 139.

L-Guard
  • Oct 2026 Fee Optimizer and Profit Calculator compute the FBA fee from this rate card in your browser. We checked the fee table against Amazon's pages on Oct 7, 2026.
2026No single start date

Fees and metrics in force in 2026

  • Low-Inventory-Level fee Charged when both your 30-day and 90-day supply are under 28 days, assessed per FNSKU.
  • Aged-inventory surcharge Starts at 181 days in storage, with a new tier from 456 days.
  • Inbound defect fee $0.32–$1.74 per unit, up to $5.72 for bulky items.
  • Account Health Rating on a 0–1000 scale
    • Oct 2026 The L-Guard Chrome extension (v1.3.4) reads the rating on the 0–1000 scale: 0–99 is flagged critical, 100–199 at risk.

Reimbursement claims: 60 days, paid at cost

Amazon

Claims for lost or damaged FBA inventory must be filed within 60 days, and Amazon reimburses at cost, not at the sale price. Lost and damaged units are tracked in the Inventory Ledger; the older Inventory Adjustments report no longer exists.

L-Guard
  • Jul 29, 2026 Refund Recovery: 60-day claim window; estimates at cost.
  • Oct 2026 Refund Recovery rebuilt on the Inventory Ledger (Detailed view). It finds lost and damaged units, subtracts units found later and units already reimbursed, and checks returns 60–120 days after the refund.
