The referral fee follows Amazon's 2026 US fee schedule: category rate, price tiers and the per-item minimum ($0.30 in most categories).

Duties, Ads & Returns

Total duty for your HTS code. China: base duty + Section 301 (often 25% or 7.5%) + a further 12.5% Section 301 duty since Jul 24, 2026. The same action adds 10% or 12.5% for 59 other economies (e.g. Vietnam 12.5%, India 10%). The 10% Section 122 tariff expired on Jul 24, 2026; the 2025 IEEPA tariffs were struck down on Feb 20, 2026.

    Why You Need an Updated FBA Profit Calculator for 2026

    Amazon introduced over a dozen new fee types between 2024 and 2026. The Inbound Placement Fee alone adds up to $1.90 per unit on a minimal-split shipment (2026 rates) - a cost that didn't exist before April 2024. The Low-Inventory-Level Fee (LIVE) penalizes sellers who let their historical days of supply fall below 28 (measured per FNSKU since 2026); keeping roughly 35 days of stock is the safe buffer. The Inbound Defect Fee charges $0.32-$1.74 per unit (up to $5.72 for bulky items) when a shipment arrives late, goes to the wrong location or is abandoned. And since Amazon ended its FBA prep services in January 2026, prep and labeling are now on you.

    Introduced in April 2024, it covers Amazon distributing your inventory across its warehouse network. Since Jan 15, 2026 it is $0 with Amazon-optimized splits; a minimal split costs $0.14-$1.90 per unit for standard-size items (more for bulky), depending on size, weight and destination region.
    What is the LIVE Fee (Low-Inventory-Level Fee)?
    If both your 30-day and 90-day historical days of supply drop below 28 (assessed per FNSKU since 2026), Amazon charges $0.32-$1.11 per unit for standard-size items and up to $2.09 for bulky ones - the less stock you have, the higher the fee. Keep about 35 days of supply as a buffer to stay clear of it.
    How do 2026 tariffs affect my profit?
    The IEEPA tariffs (up to 145% on Chinese goods in 2025) were struck down by the Supreme Court on Feb 20, 2026. Chinese goods still pay the base HTS duty plus Section 301 duties (often 25% or 7.5%), and since Jul 24, 2026 a further 12.5% Section 301 duty. The same USTR action also covers 59 other economies at 10% or 12.5% (for example Vietnam 12.5%, India 10%); Section 232 goods are exempt. The temporary 10% Section 122 tariff expired on Jul 24, 2026. Rates depend on your HTS code, so enter your total duty as a percentage of COGS.

    Yes. Pick the month the units sell. From Oct 15 to Jan 14 the holiday peak fee applies (+$0.32 per unit on average for 2026-27, or the exact amount from Amazon's rate card when you enter dimensions), the 3.5% surcharge is charged on top of it, and from October to December storage costs $2.40 per cubic foot for standard size instead of $0.78.
